Razer iPad Pro keyboard case features mechanical switches

You often see people using a full-sized keyboard when using their notebooks at home partly because of its larger size but also for the fact that they just like the touch and feel of the mechanical switch type keys. So users of Apple’s 12.9″ iPad Pro users will be happy to know that Razer has released the Razer Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical Switch, a first in the world of keyboard mechanical switches. The switches will be initially outfitted into the Razer Mechanical Keyboard Case for the 12.9″ Apple iPad Pro.

Review: Braven Lux – a wireless speakerphone and not a purse

2 LUX_CLUTCHOne would rarely think of describing a Bluetooth speaker as having a luxurious feminine style, but when you look at the Braven Lux you just may smile and nod your head in agreement. In fact if you come across a lady holding one in her hand you might mistakenly take it for a clutch purse.

Created by accessory maker Braven, the LUX wireless speaker is part of a limited edition for the Braven Design Series, so I’m sure the purse look was created rather by design and not pure by accident.  Read Full Review at G4TV Canada.

Review: Jabra Halo Smart Wireless earphones

When Jabra announced the Halo Smart – wireless Bluetooth earphones and smart nonetheless, it truly piqued my interest – and in particular that they were also designed to give both voice and call, top priority, something often forgotten about in other sets.

To review the set, I thought I’d give them the test drive as I do others by taking them along with me along with my iPhone 5S for a week during my daily walks.

The first thing you notice about Halo Smart is its unique shape. Rather than just cables running to each bud or to a control module, each earphone is attached by a short cable to an almost squared off light-weight, U-shaped rubberized neckband, which sits quite comfortably around your collar. And should you need to adjust the fit, the arms have flex zones where you can bend them. Read more…at Canoe Tech Blog.

Is Rose Gold is the new black?

rose_gold_banner

People certainly love having colour options even when it comes to technology and are no longer willing to settle for silver, white or even black. It seems these days, while gold and space grey are still very cool; the ever-growing popular colour is Rose Gold. And with Apple making the likes of the new MacBook, the Apple Watch and the iPhone in this new colour, one company, Satechi is expanding their Metallic series of accessories. Seems like they’re betting that consumers will now want matching accessories to match their pink-hued Apple purchases. Read more…at Canoe Tech Blog.

Experience London’s Great Fire of 1666 through Minecraft

Great Fire 1666 pre-fire map

In 1666, the Great Fire destroyed London, England and to commemorate the 350th Anniversary of the event, the Museum of London wants to share the story with the world. But rather than do it simply in the form of video, text, or a exhibit, the story is also being retold as a game – Great Fire 1666.

The game will consist of three phases or ‘Maps”; starting you off on the streets of 17th century London before the eventful time, where you can walk around and interact with the locals. You’ll then have an opportunity to combat the flames of the Great Fire and then later on rebuild your own version of England’s capital. Read More at CanoeTech Blog.

Zus Kevlar Cable – is it bulletproof?

Zus Kevlar CableWhile the world has gone wireless, we still need to rely on cables. Sadly, these necessary links all too often become the weakest link as they can easily tear, fray and subsequently fail usually at the worst possible time. That’s why Nonda (No NDA Inc.) created the Zus Kevlar Cable, which they tout as, “The world’s most durable cable and the last cable you’ll ever need.”

Kevlar is a trade name of Dupont, and a type of Aramidfibre. It’s commonly used for bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets, but somehow I had my doubts that a cable would survive the actual impact from a bullet. I’m also sure our city’s finest have better things to do than have me bother them asking them to shoot up a defenseless cable, so I opted for other test methods.

While I didn’t exactly go crazy, I did put the cable through a number of paces but opted not to involve the jaws of neighbour’s pooch. Read full Review at G4TV Canada.

iKlip-AV_iph6_cable_v2_back34_hand_optGrabbing mobile video is pretty easy these days, but to really capture both high quality video and audio quickly and easily on the go, can be a little more cumbersome. Illuminating iPhone power case for the perfect Selfie

SLIP101RG_02

To help you get the perfect lighting when taking a Selfie with the latest iPhone 6 models, Pyle Audio has unveiled the Lite-Me Selfie Lighted Smart Case, a slim-fitting multi-function case fitted with a series of super-bright LEDs to give your self-portrait the lighting it needs.

You could of course opt to use Apple’s Retina Flash, which illuminates the phone’s display as a way of simulating the flash. However, it can only be set to on, off or auto and given an almost unlimited array or lighting conditions does not give you the flexibility you’ll likely need. Read more…at Canoe Tech Blog.
