Winegard, the makers of HD OTA (Over The Air) antennas have unveiled their most compact version in the current FlatWave lineup. The FlatWave Micro is only 5.25” tall by 7” wide and weighs a mere 0.28 pounds. The cool thing is that it can easily be hidden in a window, set behind a picture or HDTV, or even laid flat on a table.
You can be up and running in less than five minutes by hooking it up to the television using the included 5-foot coaxial cable.
The company says that once the user places the antenna near the television, they simply need to run a channel scan to see what’s available, and start enjoying free, crystal clear programming.

This month marks the six-year anniversary of when two friends (Niall Brown, Mike Mannion) and I started a company called Empire Avenue. In those days we had multiple names for the code base, Project Venice being the most used due to the Merchant of Venice. Back in May, we reported here at CanoeTech Blog, the end was nigh for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 support and shared what action you might considering taking to minimize the pain of migration to a new successor. It’s amazing how time flies, because folks, that day is today. Starting tomorrow, anyone still running Windows Server 2003 will no longer have the pleasure of getting any further updates, security patches or technical support from Microsoft leaving them vulnerable to possible breaches and future compatibility issues.
