With a barrel of oil once again skyrocketing north of $100 and gold setting new records on its way to $1500 per ounce, it won’t be long before we really start seeing significant price increases in the staples we buy every day.

So it’s nice to know that Apple has an “app for that”.

If you’re like most people, before you download or buy an app from the iTunes or Mac App Store, chances are you’ve likely checked out the ratings of the current version, previous versions, if applicable and read a number of the user reviews. But what you might not know is that if you looked at the same App from the store in a different country, you may get a whole different story which may or may not affect your decision to hit the buy button.

Verizon iPhone 4 good for Canada?

While you can buy an iPhone through any of Canada’s major carriers, Telus Bell and Rogers (Fido too), in the US, your choices are limited to one – AT&T. But that’s going to change. At an announcement made in the Big Apple earlier this morning, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook  and Dan Mead, Verizon’s CEO announced that the iPhone 4 will be available through Verizon starting February 10th.
