Around this time last year at CanoeTech Blog we looked at the new partnership between Misfit and Speedo that resulted in a Misfit Shine activity and sleep tracker that featured a proprietary algorithm especially designed for swimmers. Whether the timing of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio is a coincidence or not, Misfit has just released its next generation model – Misfit Shine 2 Swimmer’s Edition, powered by Speedo, adding a number of new features including a new vibration motor and redesigned lights to make the wearable more valuable.
The new model also known as Speedo Shine 2 offers improvement in the hardware, firmware and software through the enhanced Misfit app for iOS and Android.
Shine’s new vibration motor offers much improved touch responsiveness with capacitive touch technology and now allows for both text and call notifications along with a silent vibrating alarm.
