Gigabit Ethernet and 3-port hub in one adapter

Many of today’s notebook models like the MacBook Air no longer have Ethernet ports, so in the event you might find a need for a wired Internet or a hard LAN connection, you need an adapter for that. For notebooks with a standard USB-A connection LOGiiX has the Piston Connect USB-A 3-Port Hub + 1Gbit Ethernet Adapter, which not only gives you that missing RJ-45 port; you also get as the name suggests, a built-in 3-port USB hub.

Matias wireless aluminum keyboard now backlit

If you think it’s time for a new keyboard, then how about one that’s backlit, Bluetooth enabled, has a numeric keypad and comes with a choice of two colours? If so, Aurora, Ontario based Matias has just unveiled their new Wireless Aluminum Keyboard with Backlight.

Braven Audio was one of the early entrance into the wireless speaker market. We first looked one back in 2012 and another, the Braven Lux, late last year, which could be easily mistaken for a ladies clutch purse. This year at CES 2017 they released the “Ready” line of outdoor speakers. Nano guitar amp allows you to play anywhere

Wireless heated insoles keep toes toasty warm

Review: LockSmart mini keyless and wireless padlock

It’s so easy to lose your keys or forget the combination of your lock, but chances are that you will have your smartphone with you. That’s what Australian accessory maker Dog & Bone is betting on with their new LockSmart mini, which allows you or your friends to wirelessly lock and unlock your padlock without physical keys or complicated codes.

LockSmart mini looks like a standard lock, but don’t let the candy colour rubberized silicone casing fool you. It’s pretty rugged. The shackle is made from hardened steel complemented with a die-cast zinc alloy body.

Although it’s called mini – likely because there is another model slightly larger it’s not tiny like a luggage lock. In fact, it measures 2” X 0.94” X 4.0”tall and weighs about 160g. Read more…at Canoe Tech Blog.
