Matias wireless aluminum keyboard now backlit

If you think it’s time for a new keyboard, then how about one that’s backlit, Bluetooth enabled, has a numeric keypad and comes with a choice of two colours? If so, Aurora, Ontario based Matias has just unveiled their new Wireless Aluminum Keyboard with Backlight.

Braven Audio was one of the early entrance into the wireless speaker market. We first looked one back in 2012 and another, the Braven Lux, late last year, which could be easily mistaken for a ladies clutch purse. This year at CES 2017 they released the “Ready” line of outdoor speakers. The model I’ve particularly taken note of is the Ready Elite, their top-end heavy-duty wireless Bluetooth app-enabled model designed for the outdoors.

Designed to be rugged, it features a shockproof an aircraft-grade aluminum grill over a moulded cabinet. It’s also waterproof and rustproof, certified to the IP67 standard. 2 cool new audio gadgets to kick off 2017

To follow up our last post of some cool new gadgets and technology hitting the market in 2017, here are a couple more that will appeal to music lovers all around including a funky wireless streaming turntable from 808 Audio and a serious high-powered dual tablet Karaoke system from VocoPro.

808 Audio has unveiled a whole new lineup of audio gadgets. One in particular that really caught my eye is the new 808 Audio Wireless Streaming Turntable. It’s designed to easily connect to not only a Bluetooth speaker but also headphones or a receiver. And while playing, it puts on a visual LED lightshow for a little added entertainment. 4 new gadgets from International CES 2017

As the International CES in Las Vegas 2017 is set to get underway tomorrow a number of companies, some of which we’ve looked at their offerings in the past have already announced new products short of the show’s official grand opening. So here’s just a sneak peek from a few including Elgato, Terk and Panasonic. Some will actually be released at the show, others are just being showcased and one is already available for sale.

If you like a clean workspace and heavy into Thunderbolt connectivity, Elgato has announced their new Thunderbolt 3 Dock. This new gadget will allow you to charge your MacBook Pro or Windows notebook with a single cable. Plus it will also allow you to smoothly drive two additional 4K displays at a 60 Hz frame rate. The dock features built-in Gigabit Ethernet, amplified audio output, a microphone input and three super-speed USB 3.0 ports. Nano guitar amp allows you to play anywhere

If you find it hard to find a gift for that mobile musician, then chances are he or she doesn’t have one of these – the new iRig Nano Amp by IK Multimedia, an ultra-compact standalone amp for the times they need just a little amplification for practice or rehearsal and don’t have a lot of space.

It has a built-in 3″ speaker with a 3-watt amp powered by three standard AA batteries (included). It has both a 1/4″ guitar input and speaker output along with separate volume and gain controls plus a bright sound enhancement switch. Wireless heated insoles keep toes toasty warm

We wear toques, scarves, mitts, warm clothes and boots but sometimes it’s still a little hard to keep our feet and little tootsies warm in deep snow, on ice, or on cold pavement.
