You’re never too old for the new GLIDER Electric Scooter

GLIDER-SCOOTER-RED

You’re never too old to ride a scooter, especially the new GLIDER Electric Scooter by GOTRAX, a company known for its HOVERFLY hoverboards. And whether you’re looking to ride for fun or as an eco-friendly mode of transportation, this clever little gadget is suitable for both kids and adults whose weight is between 44 and 264 lb. (20-120 kg).

GLIDER is electric, so it runs off a built-in battery that powers a powerful 250-watt motor. It’s designed to hit a respectable top speed of 27 km/h and will carry you for a range of just under 15km. To get the Glider rolling only takes a quick kick and a thumb lever is all that is needed to activate the electric throttle. To stop, the unit is equipped with a front electronic lever-actuated brake and a rear-heal brake.

What makes GLIDER even more practical is that it’s foldable. So, when you’re in a hurry, its ultra-fast fold and release system makes it quick and easy to stow or go depending on your needs. It measures 39.3 x 14.4 x 6.2 inches when folded and only 39.3 x 36.2 x14.4 inches when upright, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

It’s light too and easy to manouevre, weighing only 7.7kg, yet it has a strong aluminum frame so it’s sturdy and durable. It also has a sleek lunar-bright LED headlight and a backlit display so you can track stats like speed and the all-important battery life.

We used to just think of scooters as kids’ toys,” says Chief Marketing Officer Jason Wakefield. “But the GLIDER brings that simple concept into the future. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s also an efficient and economical ‘last-mile’ option for daily commutes or just getting around. It makes it enjoyable and easy to get there faster without breaking a sweat.”

GOTRAX GLIDER can make for a great holiday gift. It comes in three “Cosmic” colours: Pulsar Pink, Nebula Black and Mars Red. It retails in the US for $349.99, with special introductory pre-holiday pricing of US $219.99 and available now at GOTRAX.com. No indication yet on availability at retailers in Canada.
