While searching for upcoming Black Friday deals in Canada, I came across numerous mentions of the 16GB Blackberry PlayBook with Wi-Fi being offered below $200 at Staples stores in the US. After doing a little more digging, I found that they are being advertised on Walmart Canada’s website for an an even lower price, $198.

Apple iOS 5.0.1 update gets mixed welcome

Apple has recently unveiled its first update to Apple iOS 5 since it rolled out the game changing new iOS a little over a month ago. The software update, version 5.0.1, contains a series of improvements and other bug fixes including:

–  Bugs affecting battery life,

–  Bugs affecting Documents in the Cloud,

–  Improved voice recognition for users using dictation (Australia only),

–  Adding multitasking gestures for iPad (original model).
