The news of the iPhone 5 and the latest generation of iPods is not even cold and rumors of the iPad mini are already running amok. We’re seeing drawings, pictures and even inventory lists showing line items of iPad mini accessories and SKUs with a myriad of iPad mini configurations. The general consensus seems to be that it will have a 7.85-inch non-retina display, an A5 chip, although which version seems to be up for grabs and a launch date of October 23rd.

Apple rolls out iPhone 5, new iPods and EarPods

For some it was a long time coming, but earlier today at the Apple event in San Francisco, the company announced, as expected, the new and improved iPhone 5. They also took the opportunity to announce new iPods, updated earbuds (dubbed EarPods), as well as a new iTunes. It seems for the most part, the rumour mill had it right and in some cases surprisingly dead on!

While pens and pencils and Hilroy spiral note pads are still passing through the checkout stand, gadgets, especially digital input devices, according to one retail manager, are becoming items of choice for the new school season.

Review: Apple Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8

After all the buzz and announcements regarding Apple’s Mountain Lion, or OS X 10.8 the OS X’s 9th major release and the over 200 new features it would bring, I couldn’t wait to take it for a test drive. I quickly recalled the events of a year ago during the last major release, Mac OS X Lion. It was then l made the unfortunate choice of sitting and watching the screen anxiously as the new OS downloaded and proceeded to install. So this time, acknowledging the comprehensive update of Apple’s latest cat, which weighs in at a hefty 4.05GB, I decided I would do it a little differently.
