Griffin Merchant Case + Square Reader is a case/reader combo specifically designed for merchants on the go. It protects your iPhone from accidental drops, with a slot that allows you to store your Square point-of-sale reader in the back and easily carry it around.
The case is made of a sturdy yet flexible moulded silicone. It’s easy to insert your phone and take it out, if necessary, without scratching it, destroying the case or your fingernails. The case is cleverly designed so when inserted into your phone’s headphone jack, it keeps the reader snugly in place while trying to slide the credit card through. Plus, the case’s surface is non-slip and easy to grip, reducing the risk of it slipping out of your hand while doing your processing.
Square works with Square Register, a free downloadable iOS app that allows you to run your point-of-sale, at a cost of only 2.75% per transaction. (Note: Square also works with iPad, iPhone and Android. The case, also appears to fit, although not 100% perfectly, the 5th Gen iPod touch)
