I’m an old-school audiophile so call me sentimental, but I’m also a Gadget Guy. So when I see retro technology combined with today’s innovations I get pretty excited. This time, it comes from long-time audio products manufacturer Pyle USA. Today, they unveiled a brand-new turntable that almost makes a vinyl record stand up on its end. It’s called the Bluetooth Vertical Turntable, a new gadget that plays vinyl records positioned vertically and wirelessly streams music from almost any Bluetooth enabled device. Indestructible Nokia Gresso 3310 costs a cool $4K

I’ve heard that some retro gadgets retain their value and then some, but this one really takes the cake. The old Nokia 3310 handset, not even a smartphone, is making a comeback. This one, a variation of the retro handset reimagined by Gresso will come in an indestructible casing, crafted from titanium but it will set you back a cool US $2990, or about 4000 loonies. Clock radios as we know them aren’t dead they’ve just become a little bit more practical and high tech. This appears to be the case with the Retro Clock Radio by Electrohome. At quick glance it resembles a vintage alarm clock with a round face and stand, but that’s pretty much where the retro ends.
The Retro Clock Radio, model CR35, features a digital face with function buttons both on the front and on the side. And what looks like alarm bells, are two LED light bulbs which you can illuminate instantly by simply waving your hand in front of them, thanks to the unit’s built-in motion sensors.
