80 for Brady good old Super Bowl fun

Rita Moreno plays Maura, Jane Fonda plays Trish, Lily Tomlin plays Lou and Sally Field plays Betty in 80 For Brady from Paramount Pictures.

When I first heard about the premise of the new movie for 80 for Brady, I immediately thought Golden Girls meets Bridesmaids or vice-versa neither of which would be on the top of my personal watch list. But add in a dose of award-winning A-list comediennes and celebs, mix in a story with a sports lens and a pinch of the G.O.A.T (Greatest of All-Time) NFL Superstar Tom Brady and a host of cameo appearances and now you’ve piqued my interest.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK fills the “Need for Speed”

Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

Thirty-six years and some things pretty much remain the same. The same can be said for Tom Cruise, a.k.a Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Cruise who turns 60 in July still has that youthful look and still up to his same tricks as the courageous and cocky test pilot persona reclaiming the top role in the much anticipated movie TOP GUN: MAVERICK, the sequel to the 1986 Top Gun.

Netflix Interactive: Black Mirror: Bandersnatch – behind the scenes

Black Mirror is a British Sci-Fi TV series you can catch on Netflix. It’s offered in anthology style (4 seasons) and seems quite reminiscent of one of my all-time faves – The Twilight Zone. The latest offering is a standalone film, created by Charlie Brooker ( series creator)  and directed by David Slade released the last week of December 2018.
What makes it different is that this psychological feature is interactive where you choose which way the character goes and thus affect the ending.

Does Wade Wilson a.k.a Deadpool work 9 to 5? (Video)

The super duo, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, return with the sequel to the Marvel Comics hit, Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin and Brianna Hildebrand return to star alongside Josh Brolin, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller and Jack Kesy in this enjoyably obnoxious sequel.

If you haven’t yet seen Deadpool 2 in theatres, the story line for the sequel is that you favourite foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (a.k.a Deadpool), creates the X-Force team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young lad with supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling cyborg, Cable.

Canadians may particularly enjoy the sequel because it’s full of Canadian jokes and references. In fact those of you who attended the Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver last summer, you may have seen some film crews there as Deadpool 2 was filmed in various location including downtown, near the convention centre and even in front of our hotel – of course depending on where you’re staying.
