There’s another phishing scam spreading viciously across Facebook world and this time it’s hitting caffeine lovers both north and south of the 49th parallel. What appears to be an offer for free gift cards and vouchers from Tim Hortons and Starbucks is no more than a ploy to lead you down the garden path to get you to ultimately reveal personal information.

Apple has a tradition of typically having a music event each Fall and while we thought it might be a miss this year as all eyes and ears seemed to be
focusing on the pending iPhone announcement, there was in fact news on the iPodfront.There were no substantial redesigns, but there were some enhancements, colour changes and price adjustments that are well worth noting.

After hearing about how Steve Job’s had changed my life, I was contacted by the Edmonton Journal, who wanted to talk to Edmontonians who were in this same boat. The article published on line and in print is called How Apple’s Steve Jobs changed one mans’s life.
October 5th, 2011 will truly go down as a sad day in history. It’s a day when the world lost an incredible human being, a creative mind and an inspiration to the world. I’ve had coffee that’s been referred to as “premium” and “super-hi-test”, but this is nothing like that. A car powered on coffee, the same fuel that powers us up every morning, has recently broken a world land-speed record for a car running on organic waste, by cruising at an average speed of 66.5MPH (107 km/h), crushing the old record of 47MPH (75.6 km/h), previously set by a US car.

When Apple announced their special fall event, there was little additional information given. Now that’s typical of
Apple where the cat is never let out of the bag ahead of time. The shroud of secrecy certainly makes for ongoing wild speculation and the plethora of predictions continue to keep the rumour mills churning feverishly. I still think it’s pretty clever how they manage to do that every time and create a buzz- but I digress.

And like many other provincial jurisdictions have done, the law limits what you can do behind the wheel.
