ondemand_productdetail-virtualticket_062615_bmThe next best thing to being there

EDMONTON, AB Aug 12, 2015/ Troy Media/ – Toastmasters International’s mission is a simple one: to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. But while this 90 year-old worldwide organization values and encourages face-to-face interaction, it isn’t always possible for its members to attend one of its annual conventions.

To overcome that obstacle, Toastmasters has created a virtual ticket for their 84th annual premiere event, The Toastmasters International Convention, being held from Aug. 12 to 15 at Caesar’s Palace and Casino in Las Vegas.   READ FULL ARTICLE at Troy Media and listen to the Podcast at: Toastcaster.

Toastcaster 54 Mad Max: Fury Road Critical Communications on a Movie Set

MadMaxGregVanBIt’s not often that we have a guest on our show that has both a tie-in to Toastmasters, Public Speaking and a major motion picture release – in this case the much anticipated Mad Max: Fury Roadstarring Tom Hardy & Charlize Theron which will hit theatres May 15th 2015.

In this episode, Greg speaks with Greg Van Borssum who hails from just outside of Sydney Australia. Toastcaster 51 – A Toast and an Educational

I was asked to give a Toast (Special Occasions Speech Manual Project #1) and decided I would combine the honouring of our Sergeant at Arms along with a mini educational for the benefit of new member and guests so not only can they see how a Toast works, they get to know a little about what a Sergeant at Arms does and what they could get from taking on that role. Cheers! (03:32)

Cashing in on your loose change

Coinstar_New_Kiosk_CA_RightWhat to do with all that loose change rattling in around your couch

EDMONTON, AB, Feb 10, 2015/ Troy Media/ – With the new year just getting started, it’s probably time to do a little post-holiday cleanup. If you’re like me, you’ll probably find bits of change hanging around the house. Think sofas, chairs and bedside tables. Over time, it can start to add up (pun intended), especially here in Canada where we have $1 and $2 coins, or Loonies and Twoonies as we like to call them.

Many of us of a certain age can remember when we used the roll all the coins up in little pieces of brown paper with holes in them and take them to the bank. But now, with electronic banking, we hardly ever go to the bank: it’s not convenient and really, who wants to stand in line?   Read Full Article at Troy Media’a Cutting Corners.
