Great Clips App adds SIRI Shortcuts Integration & Haircut Reminder

How many times have you said to yourself, “Oh I forgot to get my hair cut,” or “I should have made an appointment with my stylist.” Well if you’re an iPhone or iOS user and a Great Clips customer, you’ll be happy to know there are two new updates and few new features to the Great Clips App  to help easily remind you so you can look your best when you need to. Android users aren’t totally left out, there’s one update for you.

The company announced the first update includes an integration with latest Apple’s iOS 12 mobile operating system which includes the newly introduced ‘Siri Shortcuts’.  With this update, and Apple’s latest update, customers can save themselves a whole lot of time by using Siri to initiate checking in to their usual salon location. They will also receive updated wait time estimates after then check in. Just saying, “Siri, check me into my favourite salon,” online check-in will open the Great Clips App to the customer’s previously selected ‘favourite’ salon. With the number of rechargeable battery banks available one would think that a pocket disposable battery pack like ResQBattery may not make any sense. However, the fact is even spare batteries lose capacity over time and often we forget to charge them, so having a spare in case of emergency or in the event there’s no where handy to recharge, may not be such a bad idea.

First Android triple driver earphones with 3-button mic support

Triple driver three-button models are not the most common when it comes to earphones and really non-existent for Android users – until now. Degauss Labs, a manufacturer based in Stockholm Sweden has just introduced HOWL, a pair of handmade hybrid in-ear monitors to fill that void.

HOWL incorporates three individual drivers into each earbud allowing for the proper separation of low, midrange and high frequencies.

LG V20, world’s first Quad DAC smartphone coming in September?

In the days where it’s getting harder and harder to add significant innovations to smart phones, LG has taken a bold step to appeal to the discerning audiophile. They’ve announced their upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG V20 will feature a built-in 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analog converter) — a smartphone industry first.

Inclusion of a high-quality DAC is not new to LG. The V20′s predecessor, the LG V10 already includes 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC by ESS Technology, but the new DAC, will feature four channels. The company claims the new addition will allow the new phone to deliver ultra-crisp and clear sound that comes close to replicating a live performance.
