United Kingdom-based iStorage has created diskAshur2, an updated line of virtually bulletproof PIN-authenticated and hardware-encrypted hard drives. Even if the drive was stolen, your data is fully protected.
It may sound unusual to hear that a gadget that’s a wireless speaker and had the word fan in the name would help you sleep better, but the Lectrofan Micro Wireless Bluetooth Speaker by Adaptive Sound Technologies will do just that.
I’m sure you’ve guessed by now that it’s a multi-functional device but alas, it’s not actually a fan, either. Confused yet? Read on.
In a nutshell, it’s a pocket sized combination white noise and fan sound machine and a wireless Bluetooth speaker. It’s designed primarily to be used in a bedroom or hotel room as a sleep-aid to help people get some good shut-eye, which I’m sure is a challenge for many of us, particularly when you have noisy neighbours, late-night barking dogs or maybe even someone close-by who snores. Back in December 2015 we reviewed the iRig Acoustic mic as a great little gift for the music lover; a MEMS microphone that clips on to the sound hole of an acoustic guitar. Now, IK Multimedia has taken that one step farther with the iRig Acoustic Stage digital mic system, a portable pre-amp and a digital signal-processing unit (DSP) that can enhance the acoustic sound sent out to a mixing board or amplifier or output to a computer or mobile device.
Sold as a kit, iRig Acoustic Stage comprises of the main pre-amp/DSP unit, iRig Acoustic Mic (functionally similar, but not interchangeable with the one sold as a stand-alone product), a belt/strap clip and padded case.
The idea behind the mic was that you could get better sound from an acoustic instrument being as close to the sound hole as possible even closer than a traditional external mic could be placed. I have to admit it’s been a while since I reviewed or regularly used a traditional canister vacuum. However, I can remember eons ago, not so fondly mind you, how often the darned thing tipped over and the hose became twisted and tangled. I had no choice but to stop, put it up right and untangle myself. So it piqued my curiosity when I heard that Dyson had developed a new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal vacuum which they said self-rights itself when toppled.

I have to admit, at first, I had an immediate flashback to the 70s. The TV commercial forever ingrained in my brain and the slogan, “Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down.” Anyone old enough to remember? If not, I’m sure it’s on YouTube.

One would rarely think of describing a Bluetooth speaker as having a luxurious feminine style, but when you look at the Braven Lux you just may smile and nod your head in agreement. In fact if you come across a lady holding one in her hand you might mistakenly take it for a clutch purse.

It comes in the form of a kit that consists of a clear spray solution and an anti-microbial 6″ x 6″ orange microfibre cloth. There’s no alcohol or ammonia in the solution, which can be harmful to the coatings on some screens, particularly those like the oleophobic coating found on the iPhone.
Screens like the iPhone are designed for capacitive touch. This means that it relies on the ever-minute electrical particles found in the human finger that makes touchscreens possible. That’s why touchscreens don’t really work if you’re wearing regular gloves.
